I have always strongly believed that Strong India is good for Japan and Strong Japan is good for India.
I spoke about it with the Indian Foreign Minister and at the Japan-India business forum. And this is the basis of my conversations with the Indian Prime Minister Hon. Narendra Modi as well. I must tell you all today that my dear friend- Vibhav co-authored this mantra with me in 2005, and it forms the backbone of the India-Japan relationship. H.E. Shinzo Abe

The Chairman and board members of India Center Foundation had the privilege of one-on-one interaction with H.E. Shinzo Abe, Honorable Prime Minister of Japan on December 11, 2015 at the Taj Palace hotel. The role of India Center in India-Japan relationship is significant. In 2005, I visited India just ahead of the visit by the then Prime Minister- Hon. Junichiro Koizumi. At that time, Vibhav and I visited many key policy leaders including the then Prime Minister- Dr. Manmohan Singh and conveyed these ideas and initiatives. H.E. Shinzo Abe

He further said: “I look forward to India Center putting forward many such initiatives.”
