‘Namaste India’ is a festival celebrating the cultural ties of India and Japan. Now, in its 20th year, the annual event was given a renewed vigour when India Center Foundation took on the responsibility of catalyzing it from the year 2006.
With the vision of providing a platform for people-to-people interaction that fosters confidence in the ability to work together and strengthen bilateral ties, ICF worked towards showcasing India’s culture, society and economy to Japan.
In 2008, under the aegis of the vision towards pragmatic partnership between India and Japan instituted by ICF, ‘Namaste India’ managed to attract more than 200,000 visitors.
The festival continues to be one of the most anticipated and popular cultural carnivals in Japan.
